Professor of Electron Spin Resonance and Single Molecule Spectroscopy at Free University of Berlin

Research Interest

The Bittl group focuses on the application of Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. Using this technique, we study paramagnetic species in proteins. We aim at developing a molecular understanding of the principles leading to the functionality of proteins. We further apply EPR techniques to investigate fundamental processes in solar cells on the microscopic level.
