Biography
Dirk Neumann is a full Professor with the Chair of Information Systems at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, Germany. He studied computer science in Giessen (Diploma), Economics in Milwaukee, WI (USA) and received a PhD from Karlsruhe in 2004. Since 2006, he has been coordinating the EU funded project SORMA (self-organizing ICT resource management) which deals with the design and implementation of Markets for Clouds and Grids. His research topics include cloud computing and economically-driven self-management, green computing, green logistics and emergency response systems. He has published more than 100 articles and 3 books in the area of ​​IS and e-commerce.
