Biography
Born in 1977. Studied psychology and medicine at the University of Freiburg. 2000-2002 Member of the Senate of the University of Freiburg, 2001-2002 Spokesman of the Baden-Württemberg State Study Office. 2004 Diploma in Psychology, 2008 Doctorate in Psychology, 2008 Doctorate in Medical Medicine, 2008 Doctorate in Medicine, 2008 Research stay at the Department of Psychological Medicine, University of Glasgow. Since 2008 research associate and assistant physician in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Freiburg University Hospital. 2006 Young Investigator Award of the IRLSSG (International Restless Legs Syndrome Study Group), 2008 Junior Research Award of the DGSM (German Association for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine), 2012 Habilitation scholarship of the Walter and Sibylle Kalkhof Rose Foundation of the Academy of Sciences and Literature Mainz.
Research Interest
Main research focus: psychological and neurobiological basis of sleep disturbances, especially the primary insomnia.
