Biography
Sigrid Norris is Professor of Multimodal (Inter) and Director of the AUT Multimodal Research Center at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. Born in Feudingen, Germany, she received her BA in Russian Language and Literature from George Washington University, and later, received at MS and was conferred her PhD in Linguistics by Georgetown University in the United States. It is the founder of the theoretical / methodological framework Multimodal (Inter) action Analysis, and has edited and authored numerous scientific books, journal articles and book chapters, written two poetry books, and is the editor of the international journal, Multimodal Communication .
