Biography
Svetlana Santer, For her PhD work, she joined the group of Prof. Martin Möller in Ulm, Germany. After they received her PhD in October 2000, she joined the group of Prof. Jürgen Rühe at the Department of Microsystem Technology (IMTEK). In 2003 she received a postgraduate qualification from the Margarete-von-Wrangell Foundation and worked as a senior scientist in the laboratory of Chemistry and Physics at the Department of Microsystem Technology (IMTEK, Freiburg). In October 2007 she passed her qualification as a university teacher ("Habilitation") working on developing. "Interfaces and Surfaces" at the Freiburg Center for Materials Research (FMF). In 2008, she joined the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS) at the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany, where she holds a junior research associate position in the School for Soft Matter Research.
Research Interest
The general focus of her research is on fundamental phenomena in the field of soft-matter on surfaces and on measurements and quantitative description of interactions between nanoparticles and polymer surfaces.
