Biography
During his diploma thesis at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität of Munich (degree in December 2008), Carsten Forthmann developed and programmed a substantial software package for data analysis in super-resolution microscopy. After his PhD in the field of super-resolution imaging in May 2013 Carsten Forthmann changed to the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt and worked there until June 2014 as a scientist in the department of “Bild und Wellenoptik“. Since July 2014 he is responsible for the sector of software development.
