Mr János Csák

Biography

 â€‹Economist, sociologist, management and strategic consultant. Ambassador of Hungary to the UK between 2011 and 2014. Before his appointment as Ambassador, he was member of the board of directors and advisory boards of several companies, including positions such as Chairman of MOL (Hungarian Oil and Gas Co) from 1999 to 2000, Chairman of Westel (now T-Mobile) between 1997 and 1999, Treasurer of Matáv (now Magyar Telekom) from 1993 to 1999, as well as member of the board of CA-IB Investment Bank between 2001 and 2003. Mr Csák is a trustee in a number of NGOs and lecturer in social sciences. In 2009-10 he was a visiting fellow in political economy at The Heritage Foundation in Washington DC. In recognition of his activities he was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary in 2010. Joined Richter's Board of Directors in April 2014.
