Biography
In July 2013, Dr. Klaus-Dieter Langner was appointed Chief Scientific Officer, responsible for all tasks within Research and Development and is a member of the Corporate Executive Board.From January 2011 he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Grünenthal Innovation. In 2000, he became responsible for Global Preclinical R&D with the functions Drug Discovery, Nonclinical Development, Technical Drug Development and New Technical Entities (NTEs). Dr. Klaus-Dieter Langner moved to Grünenthal GmbH as Head of Preclinical Development in January 1998. He started his career at Behringwerke AG in Marburg as a Research Scientist followed by various management positions with increasing responsibility. He studied Molecular Biology and received his PhD from the University of Cologne in 1986. Dr. Klaus-Dieter Langner was born in 1956 in Bayreuth/Germany.
