Biography

Aletta Bonn is head of department ecosystem services at the UFZ, Leipzig, and professor at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena in the framework of the German Centre of Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv). Her research focusses on participatory conservation, global change and knowledge exchange at the science-society interface. Within the IPBES process she serves as lead author for chapter 7 on scenario development of the IPBES assessment 3b(i) on ‘Land degradation and restoration’ and as review editor of the Deliverable 4c on ‘Policy support tools and methodologies’. In addition, she chairs the IPBES-AG of the German society of ecology (GfÖ).
