Biography

Tobias Wiß is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Hertie School of Governance. He studied Political Science in Munich and Berlin and received his PhD from the University of Mannheim. His work has appeared in the Journal of European Social Policy, Social Policy & Administration, European Journal of Industrial Relations and Transfer.

Research Interest

His research areas include comparative welfare state analysis, political economy and social policy, particularly pensions and family policy. Before joining Hertie, Tobias was postdoctoral scholar at the Johannes Kepler University Linz and at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES), and visiting scholar at the University of Southampton, the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) Vienna and the University of Warwick.
