Frauke Kristin Koch

Biography

 As a pharmaceutical physician with over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the U.S. and Europe, Dr. med. Frauke Kristin Koch combines solid expertise in clinical and experimental research with a comprehensive understanding of drug development and approval, including pharmacovigilance.After graduating with a medical degree from Lübeck Medical University in 1997, Frauke spent three years as a postdoctoral fellow at the University Hospital of Zürich, Switzerland, conducting experimental and clinical research in the field of dermato-oncology. Subsequently, she moved on to apply herself as a pharmaceutical physician in the pharmaceutical industry. She held positions at Mankind Corp., Chugai Pharma USA, and Santarus, where she served as senior medical director. More recently she focused on drug safety and pharmacovigilance in her role of senior pharmacovigilance manager at medac and subsequently as a freelancer. Her experience spans preclinical work through Phase IV drug development for various therapeutic areas including pulmonology, cardiology, endocrinology (i.e., diabetes), gastroenterology, and oncology. As a long-term leader of functional and interdisciplinary teams, she is well versed in life cycle management and strategic planning.
