Biography
Benzi Spector has more than 25 years of experience in research, development and engineering, serving as the lead on a range of product lines and systems in the healthcare space. Before joining InspireMD, his most recent role was serving as the Chief Technology Officer for TAG-TECH, a subsidiary of T.A.G. Medical Products Corporation Ltd., a medical and orthopedic device company, where he researched technologies for arthroscopic surgery procedures. From 2012 to 2015, he served as the VP of R&D at Mavrik Dental Systems Ltd. and Modular Implants Dentistry Corp, where he focused on cosmetic dental equipment and dental implants. There, he led a variety R&D disciplines and activities, including invention, design and evolution; product architecting; as well as system planning and development. Mr. Spector also led his own mechanical engineering design and consulting business, Smart! – Spector Mechanical ART. In his consulting practice, he advised on systems, machine design and mechanical projects, supporting various Israeli companies in a variety of industries, including the medical device industry, such as Biosense Webster, Inc., Ge Healthcare and more. Mr. Spector holds an ME in Systems Engineering and a BSc in Aerospace Engineering from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and speaks English and Hebrew.
