Biography

 Fleischer Torsten completed her studies in University of physics in Berlin; German university degree "Diplom" 1990.  1991 – 1995 : Scientific staff  member in the Department of Applied Systems Analysis (AFAS) that later became the Institute for   Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis (ITAS) of Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe (FZK) 1995 – 2000 : Scientific staff  member at the Office of Technology Assessment at the German Bundestag (TAB) Bonn / Berlin.   since 2000: Scientific staff  member at the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis (ITAS) of Karlsruhe    Institute of Technology (KIT)

Research Interest

 Technology assessments of nanotechnology and new materials as well as in the fields of energy and transportation; interactions between technological and societal changes; governance of innovation processes
