Biography
Studies in history at University of Cambridge (B.A., 2002) and in social anthropology at EHESS, Paris (diploma, 2003). PhD as co-tutelle in historical and social anthropology at EHESS, Paris and University of Stuttgart on globalization and urban modernity in seventeenth century Amsterdam (2007). Subsequent research, teaching and publications on social change, social movements, identities and heterotopias in the local-global context of urban modernity.
