Biography

Studied biology, doctorate at LMU Munich and post-doctorate in the medical faculty at the University of  Regensburg. 1999 founder and until mid 2012 CEO and CSO of GENEART AG. 2006 IPO at the German Stock Exchange Frankfurt, 2008 European Biotech Award, 2010 Trade Sale of GENEART AG to Life Technologies. 2013 - 2014 managing director and currently chairman of the advisory board of Lophius Biosciences GmbH. Since 2002 professor of molecular microbiology and gene therapy at the University of Regensburg.
