Biography
Frank began his career in 1992 at Deutsche Bank in Germany, where he spent many years in the bank’s M&A / corporate finance practice following an initial 2 year assignment working directly for a member of the bank’s managing board (“Vorstand”). In his time as an investment banker, he worked for a range of leading German and international companies, gaining experience in a variety of industries and different types of corporate finance transactions.Frank left Deutsche Bank in 2004 to become an entrepreneur and subsequently founded one of the first packaged ice companies in Germany. Beginning initially in Frankfurt, the company expanded nationally with over 5.000 point-of-sale by the time he sold his interest in the company in 2008. He was primarily responsible for sales and fundraising, successfully completing several rounds of VC financing following the initial proof-of-concept. Since then, Frank has focused on the Cleantech sector, working with investors to help young companies execute their growth strategies.Frank was raised in the US and has his degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Business. He is happily married with two children and is native in both English and German.
