Biography
"Marcell studied biotechnology at the Technical University of Braunschweig. During his doctoral thesis and subsequently as a research assistant, he worked in the field of transcription in Brigitte Jockusch's laboratory at the Technical University of Braunschweig. When the NBL3 research group (Faculty of Medicine, University of Halle) was founded in 2004 by his friend Stefan, Marcell was the one working in the lab. Since then, IGF2BP1 is his new favorite protein. Currently, Marcell is interested in the composition and post-translational modifications of IGF2BP1-containing mRNAs to decipher their role in directing ACTB mRNA translation."
