Biography
Dr. Hermann Osterwald has been the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NextPharma GmbH (formerly Pharbil Industries GmbH), a subsidiary of NextPharma Technologies (Holding) Ltd. since 2000. Dr. Osterwald served as a Managing Director of Contract Manufacturing Services of NextPharma Technologies (Holding) Ltd. since September 2007. He has gained considerable experience in a variety of Senior Roles within the Pharmaceutical industry dating back to 1981. Dr. Osterwald served as an Executive Vice President of Operations of NextPharma Technologies (Holding) Ltd., since December 17, 2003 and also served as its Business Development Director. He served as a Managing Partner of allphamed PHARBIL Arzneimittel GmbH in Göttingen from 1998 to 2000. Since 1981, Dr. Osterwald worked in different companies in senior positions as Head of Galenical Department, Head of Pharmaceutical Development, Responsible Pharmacist / Head of Production, before he started working as Managing Director for different subsidiaries of GEHE group in 1992. He served as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board of CytoTools AG. Dr. Osterwald studied pharmacy at the University of Freiburg from in 1977. In 1988, he was awarded a doctorate in pharmaceutical technology/analytical pharmacology.
