Ashish Jain

Biography

Ashish Jain received his Bachelor's in Dental surgery in 1994 from DAV (C) Dental College in Yamunanager, India and served as House Surgeon, PGIMER, in Chandigarh, India in 1995. Dr. Jain received his Masters in Periodontology from Nair Dental College and Hospital in Mumbai in 1998 followed by two Post-Doctoral Fellowships, the first in Periodontology and Oral Biology at the Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Boston University in 2001 and the second Fellowship in Implant Dentistry at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Harvard University in 2002. He was honored as Scholar for the International Team of Oral Implantology in Switzerland in 2001. Dr. Jain is currently Professor and Head of Periodontology at Punjab University, Chandigarh, India. Additionally, he holds the positions of Adjunct Associate Professor in both the Department of Periodontology and Oral Biology at Boston University and also in the Department of General Dentistry at Tufts University in the United States. Dr. Jain is the Editor of Dentistry India, the official publication of the Dental Council of India. He also serves as the Assistant Editor of the Journal of Indian Society of Periodontology and is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Implantology and Clinical Research. Dr. Jain is involved with dental education as a member of the High Powered Committee on Continuing Dental Education of the Dental Council of India. He has been Key Opinion Leader for Colgate, Glaxo Smithkline, and Orthogen, LLC.
