Biography
Ziv Mazor is a leading Israeli periodontist. He received his degree from Hadassah School for Dental Medicine, Department of Periodontics in Jerusalem, Israel where he also served as clinical instructor and lecturer for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate dental students. Since 1993, Dr. Mazor has been involved in clinical research in the fields of bone augmentation and sinus floor elevation. He is active in the quest for improving and evaluating new grafting materials using various growth factors and utilizing innovative surgical techniques. Dr. Mazor maintains a private practice limited to periodontics and implant dentistry in Raanana, Israel. He is a well-published author on these subjects and serves on the Editorial Board of several international dental journals. Dr. Mazor is a world-renowned speaker lecturing extensively both nationally and internationally. He conducts and moderates advanced international implant courses and workshops. Dr. Mazor is a faculty member in the Department of Continuing Education at New York University College of Dentistry and serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of Belgrade in Serbia. In recognition of his scientific achievements, Dr. Mazor received the Ralph McKinney Award for Basic and Clinical Research in 2008 for his study published in Implant Dentistry. Dr. Mazor is the ex President of the Israeli Periodontal Society, a diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (IICOI), and serves as an active member in the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), Academy of Osseointegration (AO), and the European Federation of Periodontology.
