Biography
My research focuses on climate change impacts in the context of an increasingly connected global economy. At the intersection of economics and climate physics, I combine analytical, numerical and statistical tools to analyze the direct and indirect effects of weather extremes and to quantify the associated costs. Further research interests include climate change adaptation and the interplay of climate and sustainable economic development. I have co-developed the numerical model for economic loss propagation, acclimate, and I am a scientific advisor to the community data project zeean.
