Biography
Manfred Stock, born 1949, is Chief Advisor for Regional Strategies at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and Honorary Professor for Climate Change at the University of Applied Sciences Eberswalde. Until May 2009 he was Co-Head of the Research Department “Climate Impacts and Vulnerabilities“ and from 1993 to 2002 he acted as Deputy Director of PIK. Before joining PIK he was expert for Industrial Safety and independent consultant. Manfred Stock studied Physics and Mathematics and received his PhD in experimental solid state physics.
