Biography
Dr. Wieland W. Wolf, Ph.D. has been Chief Executive Officer of ProBioGen AG since June 14, 2010 and serves as its Member of Management Board. Dr. Wolf served as Director of Strategic Cooperation at Dr. Rentschler Holding GmbH & Co. KG. Dr. Wolf also served as a Director, Strategic Cooperation of Rentschler Biotechnologie GmbH & Co. KG. In 1981, he started his career as a molecular biologist in the development group of Bioferon GmbH and became the Bioferon GmbH's head of production in 1989. From 1993 to 2005, he headed the operations of Germany based Rentschler Biotechnologie GmbH. During this term he led the Bioferon GmbH through its transformation from a product oriented enterprise into a service provider and CMO. Dr. Wolf served as Vice Chairman and Director of Dr. Rentschler Holding GmbH & Co. KG. He served as Vice Chairman of Kenta Biotech Ltd. He is the President of the European Association for Pharma Biotechnology and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology (IGB, Stuttgart, Germany). Dr. Wolf studied biology with a doctorate from the University of Salzburg.
