Biography
Arielle Helmick studied women's studies and music at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She received her MA in American cultural history, American literary history and sociology at the LMU Munich. In 2011, she completed her doctorate at LMU Munich with her dissertation entitled "The Greening of American Popular Music: Environmentalism in Song." She has worked at LMU since 2008 (as a research associate and lecturer at the Amerika Institut) and has been with the RCC since January 2010.
