Biography
Simon Märkl studied American Cultural History, Sociology and Political Science at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich (LMU). Prior to receiving his MA, he spent the 2012/13 winter semester at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. His MA thesis is concerned with the representation of nuclear energy in American popular culture. Märkl worked as a tutor at the LMU’s American Institute and as a research assistant in the Energy, Resources and Sustainability department at acatech (the German Academy of Science and Engineering). Since summer 2013 he has worked there as a consultant.
