Biography
Prof. Gunther Hartmann, M.D. is the Co-founder of Rigontec GmbH and served as its Chairman. Prof. Hartmann has been the Head of the Bonfor Research Commission at the Medical Faculty of the University of Bonn since 2008. He is a co-inventor of Rigontec’s technology. He served as Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Bonn. He serves as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board of InDex Pharmaceuticals AB. He serves as a Director of Rigontec GmbH. Since 2009, he has been a member of the Expert Committee on Cancer Therapy Trials at the German Cancer Aid organization. Since 2010, he has been a spokesman of the ImmunoSensation Cluster of Excellence. From 2011 to 2012, he was President of the International Oligonucleotide Therapeutic Society. His scientific work focuses on the understanding of innate immune receptors and the immune sensing of RNA and DNA. He is a Professor of Clinical Chemistry & Clinical Pharmacology at University Hospital of the University of Bonn. Prof. Hartmann obtained his habilitation in clinical pharmacology in 2001.
