Biography
Prof. René Tolba serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Adhesys Medical GmbH. Prof. Tolba supports Medical Adhesive Revolution GmbH as an advisor and acts as the its Chief Medical Officer coordinating the pre-clinical and clinical trials. He is the Director of the RWTH Aachen institute of Laboratory Animal Science and an experimental surgeon. He has been Director of the RWTH Aachen Institute of Laboratory Animal Science Since 2007. His research focus is visceral organ transplantation and preservation as well as animal models for various disciplines. He is responsible for training and education according to FELASA recommendations and teaching in M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering. He has Professorship in 2007: Expert in transplantation medicine and held various positions in the department of surgery at University Hospital of Bonn from 1999 to 2007. He has Medical studies at the University of Bonn and University of Pittsburgh, USA from 1990 to 1998. He has PhD in 2002.
