Biography
Joseph M. Fernández was one of two co-founders of Invitrogen, Inc., (Currently Life Technologies). He developed and helped launch the company’s first commercial products, as well as all aspects of the company. In 1999, he founded Active Motif, which specializes in novel tools and platform technologies for genomics-driven cell biology and epigenetic pathway elucidation. He is the current chairman of the company.
