Stephan A. Sieber
Professor
Chemistry
Technical University of Munich
Germany
Biography
Prof. Sieber (1976) conducts research in the field of bioorganic chemistry with the aim of developing new drugs against multiresistant bacteria. The research is based on methods ranging from synthetic chemistry to functional proteomics and cell biology to mass spectrometry. Through this approach, new drugs have already been found, some of which are currently being optimized for medical use.
