Education Studies of Semiotics, Culture Studies and Social sciences with focus on Political Studies at the University of Tartu in Estonia. Master studies in social-ecological research of social movements. Doctoral studies in Sociology at Justus-Liebig-University Gießen at the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC) with a thesis on qualitative sustainability research.
