Biography

Didier Leroy was born on December 26, 1957. He graduated from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences et Technologies de I’Ingenieur in Nancy, France, with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in 1982. Mr. Leroy then joined Renault S.A. in the same year. Mr. Leroy was appointed plant general manager of the Douai Plant in April 1992, and in April 1996, he was made deputy plant director of Renault S.A.’s Le Mans Plant. In September 1998, Mr. Leroy joined Toyota Motor Manufacturing France S.A.S. (TMMF) as vice president, and then became president in January 2005. In June 2007, he was appointed managing officer of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC). In July the same year, he was made executive vice president of Toyota Motor Europe NV/SA (TME), and then became president in June 2010. In April 2011, he was appointed CEO of the European Region in TMC, and was made president and CEO of TME. In April 2012, he became a senior managing officer of TMC. In April 2015, he was made president of Business Unit Toyota No. 1 of TMC, and was also appointed chairman of TME, and in June Mr. Leroy became an executive vice president and a member of the board of directors of TMC. In April 2016, he was made chief competitive officer. In April 2017, he remained an executive vice president and operating officer, and remained a member of the board of directors. He also became president of the Business Planning & Operation at the same time.
