Chia-wen Lu

Biography

Chia-Wen Lu received her bachelor degree in 2014 at the National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. In the same year, she was also certified as a clinical medical technologist by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Taiwan. In 2016, she completed her master thesis at the graduate institute of Microbiology, National Taiwan University, assessing factors that contribute to the establishment of a functional T cell immunity, with a special focus on tissue-resident memory T cells. In 2016, she participated at the 6th Lower Saxony International Summer Academy (LISA) in Immunology and decided to join the research group of Mucosal Infection Immunology at the Institute of Infection Immunology, TWINCORE. Her PhD thesis will focus on identifying and functional characterizing epigenetic signature genes in innate lymphoid cells (ILCs).
