Biography
Shuting Xu received her Bachelor degree, majoring in Life Science, in Nanjing Agricultural University in Nanjing, China, 2009. She then conducted her Master studies of Biology at University of Ulm, Germany. She joined the laboratory of Prof. Christine Goffinet at the Institute of Molecular Virology for her Master Thesis on the investigation of human IFITM proteins as anti-HIV-1 factors. Following graduation in May 2012, she is now addressing in her PhD thesis how HIV-1 infection can be sensed by primary HIV-1 target cells. Since November 2013, she has moved together with Prof. Goffinet's research group to TWINCORE, Hannover and works as a postdoctoral fellow since May 2016.
