Biography
Mr. David Paulus studied information logistics (B.Sc.) and information systems (M.Sc.) in Stuttgart and Pforzheim, Germany. He worked for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit in ICT4D and capacity building projects in Eastern and Southern Africa. At the Fraunhofer Institute of Human Factors and Technology Management he designed and developed web applications for specific sociocultural contexts. During his scientific assistance at the University of Applied Science Stuttgart he extended the functionalities of social and online learning platforms and developed educational content for IT students. In his master thesis he focused on the current state of open development data and how it can be processed through modern database and programming technologies. At UNU-EHS, Mr. Paulus supports the implementation and integration of social learning and networking platforms as well as e-learning systems. He contributes to the creation and enhancement of modules for content and learning management systems and is involved in the development and delivery of web based educational content.
