Biography
Norbert Pallua is Professor and Chairman for Plastic Surgery, Hand Surgery, and Burn Center of the University Hospital Aachen in Germany. He has an accreditation for full specialist training for Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery by the Nordrhein Association of Physicians. Since 2001 he is serving as a member of the teaching faculty and examiner of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) / European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS). Along with all these responsibilities he serves as President of the German Burns Association, Vice President of the German Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (DGPRÄC), a German representative of European Burns Association (EBA), member of the Scientific Committee of the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS), and a National Representative of the International Society for Burn Injuries (ISBI) He is also a member of Editorial Board for the following Journals • European Journal of Plastic Surgery • Langenbeck’s Archives of Surgery • Handchirurgie, Mikrochirurgie, Plastische Chirurgie • Editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Adipose Tissue and Stem Cells • Journal für Ästhetische Chirurgie
