Biography
Brian T. Gibbs completed majors with high honors in Business Administration, International Relations and German (BA) at Hope College in Holland, Michigan (USA) with studies in Hamburg and at the University of Freiburg. Following his Bachelor studies, he received a Fulbright scholarship in Austria. He completed his Master’s degree at the Fletcher School of Tufts University in Boston (USA) with coursework at Harvard Business School and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. His area of study was International Business Policy and Technology Management. During his studies he gained international experience through work at the United States Consulate in Hamburg and an American software enterprise, and he served for three years as a Lecturer at Tufts University. After his studies, Brian Gibbs joined PRTM Management Consultants and established offices in Frankfurt and Munich. As a partner, country lead director and Managing Director, his consulting engagements over twenty years were focused primarily in the fields of innovation, product development and supply chain management. His project work in business and product strategy, productivity and margin improvement, business process optimization and organization development was conducted at director and executive management levels across several sectors (including engineering, telecommunications, electronics, software and consumer goods) in over 40 countries in Europe, North America, South America, Asia and the Middle East. Brian Gibbs is an external Research Assistant with a focus on Leadership and Innovation and a Lecturer in International Management at the Chair for Innovation and Technology Management under Prof. Dr. Michael Dowling.
