Scientific Assistant
Department of Economics and Econometrics
University of Regensburg
Germany
Biography
Stefan Rameseder began after graduation with a dual computer science study at the ZF Passau, which he finished in favor of a mathematics degree in Regensburg. After his undergraduate degree in mathematics and physics and his early focus on arithmetic geometry, Stefan Rameseder was selected by DAAD for a one-year full scholarship at Brandeis University. Supported by his local supervisor, Joel Bellaiche, he was able to deepen his knowledge as a guest auditor with Richard Tayler, Harvard GSAS. With the completion of his diploma thesis on the Eichler-Shimura-Theory, however, came a reorientation: during an internship at a high-tech startup, Stefan Rameseder won great interest in energy concepts and turned away from the arithmetic geometry. In addition to his self-employment in the field of applied auction theory, in particular the German standard power market and AdWords, Stefan Rameseder is a research assistant at the Chair of Econometrics.
