Biography
Prof/Dr. Robert Lukowski has received his PhD at the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Technical University of Munich University during the period of 2003-2006. Currently, he is working as Professor in Tubingen University. His research has included Role of cardio-vascular cGMP signaling for the cellular adaption to patho-/physiological stress, BK channels as targets of cGMP signalling in myocardial pre- and postconditioning and survival , Signaling dynamics of Ca2+-activated K+ channel complexes in health and disease. Based on this research and fellowship training he/she has received several awards and honors, such as Member of the American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics in 2005. He have authored Turning on cGMP-dependent pathways to treat cardiac dysfunctions: boom, bust, and beyond research articles/books.
