Biography
Thomas Spitzenpfeil is a member of the Executive Board as well as CFO and CIO of the ZEISS Group. He is responsible for Corporate Finance & Controlling, Corporate Information Technology, Corporate Auditing & Risk Management and Corporate Security, the Shared Services Consolidation & Accounting Center, Financial Services, Business Services & Infrastructure, Digital Innovation Partners and the Shared Production Unit. He also manages the ZEISS sales and service companies in Austria, Eastern Europe, Nordics, Switzerland and the UK. Thomas Spitzenpfeil has been a member of the Executive Board since 2010. Thomas Spitzenpfeil was born on December 22, 1962 in Bad Saulgau. He studied industrial engineering (majoring in mechanical engineering) at the Technical University of Darmstadt and graduated in 1989 as a graduate industrial engineer.
