Biography
Felix Kretz works as a public relations officer in ZEW's Service Department "Information and Communication". He is responsible for all inquiries of the press as well as in-house publications such as ZEWnews and special releases. He studied political science, public international law along with English language and literature at the University of Mannheim focusing on European integration and European Union law. During his studies, he worked as a foreign language interpreter for the European University Institute in Florence. At the same time, he freelanced as a court reporter for the German Press Agency (dpa). His Master's thesis entitled "Liberalization of the Common Energy Market" deals in detail with the integration of public economic sectors in the European Economic Area (EEA). After graduation, he worked as a cub reporter for the "Leipziger Volkszeitung" concentrating on local and economic news. Consequently, he was employed as a trained newspaper editor in Leipzig. His last position was in the digital publications department.
