Biography
Dr. Wolfgang Habla studied economics at the universities of Regensburg and Munich and received his PhD from the University of Munich in 2014. Recently, he started working on the experimental ethics of self-driving cars and on nudging in the context of health behaviour. He spent several months at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation in Canberra, Australia, the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Potsdam, Germany, and the University of California at Berkeley, USA. Before joining ZEW’s Research Department "Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management", he was a postdoc at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden.
Research Interest
His research focuses on public finance, political economics, and environmental economics. He is particularly interested in the distributional effects of climate policy and the question as to how national politics form international environmental policies.
