Biography

 Dr. George Owusu-Dapaah is the immediate past Vice Rector of Kumasi Polytechnic. He is a Senior Lecturer and has been a faculty member of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (formerly Department of Dispensing Technology) since 1994. He is a registered pharmacist and has been a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana from 1988. He is also a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Technology and Management Research (IJTMR). Dr. Owusu-Dapaah received his PhD from the University of Strathclyde (2008), and his M.Pharm (1994) / B.Pharm (1987) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).He is Member, Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana.  

Research Interest

 Anti-sickling agents from natural products Ligand approach to drug discovery through pharmacophore generation synthesis of quinazoline-2,4-diones and 1,4-benzodiazepine-2,5-diones for the treatment of trypanosomiasis and leishmaniasis.
