Biography

"I believe I am limitless and it is possible to achieve anything you want through determination." – Benjamin Lamptey. Benjamin Lamptey is a proud alumnus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), where he specialized in Public Relations. He had his basic education at Graceland International School at North Kaneshie, Accra and attended Wesley Grammar School where he studied Agricultural Science. His love and passion for communication and arts made him apply to study at GIJ to study Public Relations. His main objective for choosing Public Relations was the fact that he thought it as a field where he could get to interact with people. He was the campaign coordinator for Ibs Sackey- Rockson’s campaign team andn was also part of ‘Keteke’ Ghana and Campus Base TV, GIJ. He was popularly known as ‘Chinese bamboo’ among his friend’s whiles in GIJ. He intends furthering his education in GIJ by studying Development Communication for his Master’s program. For Benjamin, his stay at GIJ has greatly helped him as he learnt basic things which he now applies in his profession. Currently he is the Operations Manager at a cooperate branding and brand identity company called Black Excellence House. In future he wants to own his own branding company. “My aim is to be part of the top-notch public relations officers in Ghana” he added. He encouraged all the continuing students to take their studies seriously and strive to achieve greater things in life.
