Biography

Gilbert Agyeman is currently Assistant Finance Officer attached to GIMPA Consultancy Services. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession with over five years post qualification experience. He has also pursued his Masters in Business Administration (Fin ance Option) at the Wisconsin International University College. (Awaiting Graduation). He is Financial Management Expert who provides financial management services to the Food Security and Environmental Facility project, a five year Canadian Project aimed at reducing poverty while taking into consideration environmental issues and gender. This project is operating in the three Northern Regions of Ghana. The financial management services provided include the selection of qualified applicants, training of s ub - project implementing partners, conducting financial monitoring, assisting the organizations to prepare Activity - Based Budgets and Financial Statements. He is also in charge of the preparation of financial proposals, and other accounting related issues in the GIMPA Consultancy Services. He has served in various positions at GIMPA as the Project Accountant for the Africa Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF), Accountant for the Centre for I.T. Professional Development, and the School of Technology. He has a lso been teaching the Computerized Accounting System programme in the Centre for Professional I.T. Development for the past five years on part time basis
