Biography
With a dream of becoming a part of the communication gurus to build the Ghanaian society, Mr. Luther King Boadi Owusu-Amoah pursued and attained an admission to study a B.A in Communication Studies in the Ghana Institute of Journalism in 2010. Mr. Owusu-Amoah had his basic education at the Datus Complex School in Bubuashie a suburb in Accra. He continued to Ofori Panin Senior High School (SHS) at Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region to read General Arts, where he was selected to be a Prep Prefect. His love for sport saw him earning a place in his house sport’s team in SHS, where he had the chance to participate in a number of football and athletics competition. In 2005, as destiny would have it, Mr. Owusu-Amoah gained admission into the Kumasi Polythenic where he read Chartered Accountancy with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAG) and completed in 2007, a dream he never envisaged. This skill, however, enabled him to get his first employment at the Metropolitan Insurance Company where he worked as a Sale Executive. However, aside his Chartered Accounting knowledge from the Kumasi Polythenic, He still had a hole in his dream of becoming a good communicator. This is what led him to attaining a communication studies degree from GIJ. Mr. Owusu-Amoah was the president of the Campus Christian Family – GIJ from 2011-2012. After his graduation, he served as a Teaching Assistant at GIJ from 2014-2015 during his national Service. Mr. Owusu-Amoah acknowledged that, because of GIJ, he has been able to build up his confidence and public speaking skills and also write well whenever he wants to put thoughts together. Mr. Owusu-Amoah has worked as a stringer with the Ghanaian Times for fourteen months. However, he is currently working as a clerk with a law firm. Not only does he express himself in journalistic writing, Mr. Owusu-Amoah expresses himself in the art of music as well. He is a Song writer and the music director for the Calvary Christian Ministries. His love for music grew when he joined the PENSA choir called ‘Echoes of Love”. Mr. Owusu- Amaoh loves to see people progress and as singer, he has the passion to spot and develop teenagers who are talented in this field of ministering. Mr. Owusu- Amoah still aspires to attain a doctorate in Communication Studies, this he believes will enable him become a lecturer.
