Mavis Boamah

Biography

Mavis is the youngest child and only female of her parent’s three children. She had her basic education at the St. Anthony School and continued to Asamankese Senior High School. She then took after her father by being a teacher after her training at the OLA College of Education in Cape Coast. She never relented on her efforts to become who and what she wanted to be: a broadcast journalist and Corporate Affairs Manager. She has currently enrolled at the Deakin University in Australia and is pursuing a Master’s in Corporate Communications. Her hobbies are reading and listening to music. Graduating as a second class student, the editor and writer of the campus-based newspaper called ‘The Communicator’ and the first female General Secretary of GIJ’s Students’ Representative Council (SRC) gave Mavis a great sense of responsibility as she was expected to turn her skills and knowledge into a worthy venture.
