Biography

Mohammed A. Adams had his basic education at the Roman Catholic Junior Secondary School. After completing his basic education, he went on to the Bishop Herman Secondary School at Kpando in the Volta Region, where he offered General Arts. After completing his secondary education, he stayed at home for one year. Within this year, he taught the subjects English Language and Social Studies at his alma mater, Roman Catholic Junior Secondary School. Speaking to gijonlinenews.com, Mohammed A. Adams revealed some notable achievements he made as a community teacher. “Eight students had Grade One in English Language, while fifteen students had Grade One in Social Studies at the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) that year,” he said. GIJ Experience Mohammed A. Adams re-lived some of the numerous experiences he encountered during his stay in the Institute as a student. He revealed in an interview with gijonlinenews.com that, he met different kinds of people which included both accommodating and non-accommodating ones. With reference to academics, he brought to light a notable fact that students are exposed to both theory and practice, although he admitted that lectures at the Institute are very intensive and students are bombarded with academic assignments most of the time. The alumnus further cited some reasons why he would recommend the Ghana Institute of Journalism to others.
