Biography

Richard Dua-Ansah is a Legal Practitioner and Intellectual Property Attorney in Ghana as well as an Assistant Lecturer at UPSA. He is an Associate Lawyer with Kyidom Chambers, a Law Firm situated in the Central Business District in Accra. He is also one of the founding members of Intellectual Property Network Ghana, a pioneer Intellectual Property think tank and advocacy group in Ghana. In addition to obtaining his law degree, Richard pursued several opportunities to enhance his education and experience in the field. In June 2015, Richard had the opportunity to attend a two-week Training Course for Intellectual Property Practitioners organized by the Japan Patent Office in Tokyo, Japan. He has also previously pursued short courses in Securities at the Ghana Stock Exchange, Project Management, and Estate Management. Richard was born in Obo-Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana and completed his Secondary education at St. Peter’s Boys Senior High School in Nkwatia-Kwahu. Richard is a Christian of the reformed tradition and fellowships with the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Nantoma Memorial Congregation, Kanda – Accra where he plays the organ in church and loves to teach music especially to children. He is married with a boy child.
