Biography

Vitus Gbang is a legal practitioner and an academic. Before becoming an Assistant Lecturer at UPSA, he obtained his license to practice law in Ghana, New York State, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He is Managing Associate of Law and Development Associates (LADA), a legal consultancy firm which is a subsidiary of the Law and Development Associates (LADA) Group of Companies. He is the Board Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer of Gbang Memorial Group of Companies, comprising a development NGO, a produce buying and selling company and a company specializing in poultry and ruminant production. For the most part of his education, Vitus was a student activist. He was elected as Coordinating Secretary of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) from 2007-2008 where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of the NUGS Secretariat. He also served as President of Upper West Students’ Union, Legal Advisor to Mensah Sarbah Hall Junior Common Room (JCR), University of Ghana and Legal Advisor to the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), University of Ghana. He also served as a member of the University of Ghana Disciplinary Committee for Junior Members. Vitus is an old student of Bishop Herman Senior High School, Kpandu. Vitus is a Christian and hails from Jirapa in the Upper West Region of Ghana. He attended Bishop Herman Senior High School, Kpandu. At his leisure, Vitus reads for pleasure and he enjoys traveling.
