Biography
Dr. Damir Bucković received his PhD in Geology from University of Zagreb in 1998. Currently, he is working as Associate Professor and Scientific Advisor at Department of Geology, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, Croatia. He has authored in several research articles dealing with Mesozoic stratigraphy of the Karst Dinarides. From 2007-2014 he was a leader of Project of Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of Republic of Croatia: "Role of unconformities in the carbonate successions of the Karst Dinarides". At the undergraduate study program of Geology on the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, Croatia, he has been teaching at courses "Historical geology 1" and "Historical geology 2". At the doctoral study program of Geology on the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, Croatia, as a co-leader, he has been teaching at courses "Carbonate platforms" and "Sequence stratigraphy". He is a member of Croatian geological society and International association of sedimentologists.
